Last week we wrapped up exhibiting at Tech Week Asia, which was quite a success! We met with a bunch of prospects and presented a talk sharing more about Folkloty and how it can help with company branding and culture.
Before we dive in, here’s what the blueprint of the booth looked like. Safe to say we made a lot of progress.
The Booth
Our booth was super hacky, but thanks to our incredible partners - Instapod, Rooma, and Shure - each of whom helped with different parts, the end result was something we were very proud of.
The (Insta) Pod
The massive recording pod was the center of attention and got a lot of passersby to swing by our booth. What probably helped also was the fact that we were bang in the middle of the DevOps Live and Cloud Expo areas - so saying that we were “different” is an understatement. The fake plants played a role too - when’s the last time you saw plants at a conference booth? We also had some customers come down to meet us, which felt really special.
Learning from the event
One thing we realized in the run-up to the conference is that having a hard deadline really forced us to complete a bunch of things that have been on our To-Do List. This included getting a new pitch deck for businesses, brochures to explain Folklory, and even reaching out to old and new partners.
Targets
We managed to hit our target of 50 leads! In the coming few weeks, we will be following up with these leads and we’re hoping that these convert to trials and paying customers. But just based on last week’s experience, events, and conferences are indeed something we want to do more of - if you have any recommendations on events we should attend, do let us know!
Until next time,
The Folklory Team
