Last week, we participated in a webinar organized by Intellect and Gleneagles Hospital for new mothers. The idea was to share Folklory as a way to preserve their favorite memories of parenthood in timeless podcasts. Imagine listening to what your mom’s was thinking about when you were just a baby - it’s quite special. Attendees could scan a QR code and were redirected to a microsite we set up for the event.
Creating a time capsule
A few years ago, one of our listeners of YahLah BUT (the podcast where we talk about the hottest news with a touch of humor) told us about an exciting experience she had. She was pregnant during the pandemic and since most of us were at home, she would listen to the podcast. When she went back to listen to those episodes again, it would take her back to that special time and remind her of the excitement she experienced during the early phase of her pregnancy. While we never intended to create that, those few episodes became a kind of time capsule of a period, which she could go back to whenever she wanted.
We wanted to create similar time capsules for other mums where they can preserve their thoughts and emotions of this once-in-lifetime period of becoming a mother; maybe even share it with their kids when they grow up. This would be many years away, but it would surely be something special.
Working with Channel Partners
We were very excited when the opportunity to work with Intellect and Gleneagles came up. They both could be great partners for Folklory and serve as a channel to reach more people. Even for them, offering Folklory to their customer would be a way to create a unique and memorable experience. Over time we see such channels as a key ingredient for our growth. Some other examples of channels could be financial advisors, wedding planners, and old-aged homes - each of them serving an audience who could see a lot of value in Folklory.
To end, here are 2 of our customers who recorded a Folklory for their kids, talking about the experience, and who would appreciate getting Folklory as a gift.
Until next time,
The Folklory Team
